The Nursing Home Risk Most Families Never See Coming
A few years ago, if you had asked me what families worried about most when placing a loved one in a nursing home, I probably could have answered without much hesitation.
Falls. Pressure wounds. Staffing shortages. Maybe infections.
What I would not have put near the top of the list was violence from another resident.
And yet, over time, I’ve come to realize that many families are completely unprepared for the possibility.
