Ileanexis Rocher Colón, intake attorney at Domnick Cunningham & Yaffa, is an advocate for victims of negligence and misconduct. She joins the firm with valuable experience in criminal prosecution and civil litigation with a particular focus on investigating civil claims.

Ileanexis (Lexi) was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States in 2010. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Boston University, graduating with a Political Science degree in 2014. She then went on to the University of Miami School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 2018. As an intern at the University of Miami School of Law Children and Youth Law Clinic, she championed the cause of vulnerable children, addressing issues ranging from dependency to immigration.

Lexi started her legal career as a prosecutor in Miami-Dade County, where she handled a diverse array of cases, ranging from misdemeanors to high-stakes felonies. Her experience in investigating and prosecuting complex criminal matters, such as armed robbery, sexual battery, and attempted murder, defines her commitment to advocating for victims and holding wrongdoers accountable. Prior to joining DCY, she also served as a staff attorney for a private organization investigating organized retail crime syndicates.

Lexi’s experience showcases a wide range of talents that make her invaluable to our client’s legal journey. Her time as a prosecutor demonstrates her commitment to fighting injustice. Her extensive trial skills give her the insight to know what a jury will see in each claim and how to analyze each client’s story so they can obtain a full measure of justice.  Her breadth of experience defines her compassion and empathy for injured victims and makes her a vital member of DCY’s team of exceptional lawyers.
