Sean C. Domnick Jr.

About Sean

Sean C. Domnick, Jr. is an associate at Rafferty Domnick Cunningham & Yaffa, where he is building a career dedicated to trial advocacy and the representation of victims of medical malpractice. His early work included experience with claims under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act, and the Jones Act; cases that gave him a deep appreciation for the role of plaintiff lawyers as advocates for workers whose voices might otherwise be drowned out by powerful economic and political interests.

Sean’s commitment to advocacy was evident long before law school. As an undergraduate at the University of Virginia, he served on a capstone research team studying the treatment of mentally ill individuals in the justice system. His work involved statistical analysis, collaboration with stakeholders, and co-authoring a peer-reviewed publication-early proof of his ability to connect rigorous research with meaningful reform.

During law school, Sean carried that same focus into practice. As a clerk at the Haggard Law Firm, he contributed to the preparation of significant personal injury cases, working directly with expert witnesses, depositions, and mediation strategy. In 2021, he clerked at RDCY, where he gained firsthand experience on the intake team, interviewing clients and helping identify those with catastrophic injuries and strong claims. His time as an intern in the U.S. House of Representatives further highlighted his advocacy skills, where he drafted speeches, researched legislation, and supported public policy initiatives.

Sean earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (2023) and his B.S. from the University of Virginia (2020). He is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.

Sean’s experiences reflect both his promise and his purpose—and make him a valuable addition to a team defined by its relentless advocacy on behalf of those who cannot fight alone.
