Katherine A. Kiziah

Katherine A. Kiziah is a Partner at Rafferty Domnick Cunningham & Yaffa, where her practice is dedicated to complex litigation involving product liability, mass torts, and pharmaceutical and medical device claims. Known for her meticulous case strategy and client-centered approach, Katherine has secured significant victories, including a multi-million-dollar settlement for consumers harmed by contaminated compounded medications. Katherine is currently representing women who were diagnosed with uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, or endometrial cancer following use of chemical hair relaxer products in MDL 3060 In re: Hair Relaxer Marketing Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation where she serves on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee. She has also worked on discovery efforts against Pfizer in MDL 3140 and represents women alleging use of Depo-Provera birth control caused meningioma brain tumors.

Prior to joining RDCY, Katherine served as the South Florida Bureau Chief for the State of Florida Office of the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. As both Bureau Chief and Assistant Attorney General, she led complex civil prosecutions addressing fraud in timeshares, telemarketing, internet schemes, and deceptive advertising. She worked alongside federal and state agencies in securing injunctions, asset freezes, and ultimately, criminal prosecutions against fraudulent corporations. Her pioneering efforts to dismantle large-scale tech support scams earned Florida the Federal Trade Commission’s inaugural Partnership Award and earned Katherine the distinction of Attorney of the Year by the Florida Attorney General’s Office.  Since 2017, Katherine has focused her practice on representing plaintiffs in complex civil litigation, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, and consumer protection.

Katherine’s leadership extends well beyond the courtroom. She is currently the Treasurer of the Palm Beach County Justice Association. She was also appointed and currently serves on the Florida Bar Consumer Protection Committee. She is a graduate of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Leadership Academy, Class 10. A past president of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Katherine is a frequent speaker and advocate for gender equity in the legal profession.

Katherine has always been an avid reader. Katherine serves on the Board of Directors of the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County. She is a past president of the Friends of the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach.

Katherine’s excellence has been recognized by numerous accolades, including Best Lawyers in America (Consumer Protection Law, 2025), Florida Trend Legal Elite, the Justice Barbara J. Pariente Award from FAWL, and consistent AV Preeminent ratings from Martindale-Hubbell since 2013. She is also a proud alumna of Leadership Palm Beach County, Class of 2021.

She is admitted to practice before the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Katherine holds an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law, a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, and a B.A. from the University of Florida.
